Walden University has announced two exciting changes to its offerings as a premier online university. First, the College of Education and Leadership has added an Assessment, Evaluation, and Accountability specialization to its Ph.D. in Education degree that may be applicable to a variety of career objectives. On the master’s degree level, the M.S. in Mental Health Counseling program has added a specialization in Trauma and Crisis Counseling while the Master of Information Systems Management has added a Project Management Specialization. Walden’s B.S. in Child Development has added a concentration in Administration and Management to prepare students for managing a childcare center or program, and the B.S. in Information Technology now offers concentrations in Web Design and Applications Development and Web Systems Design and Usability. These new specializations and concentrations meet the standards of their respective professional organizations.
Relatedly, Walden has added six new faculty members to its Faculty Experts Bureau“expanding the fields of expertise to include early childhood and primary education, special education, educational technology, bullying and public policy among others.” Slightly past its one year anniversary, the Bureau provides a resource for those looking for insight into many academic/professional fields.
