Yes, I am 52 years old; I own my own contracting business, but it no longer interests me. I have some college units, but not quite an AS. My question is: I want to get a B.S. and then a M.S. in health sciences; then go on to a master’s program in something to be determined later. Are there online colleges that have accelerated programs which are both accredited and respected in the real world? Thanks.
Absolutely! There are accelerated programs which are accredited and respected in the health sciences field. You may want to start by considering programs in your region; however, there are also some accelerated, accredited programs online. Next, contact the Admissions Office of any schools of interest. Ask about Prior Learning Assessment (PLA) as some of your life experience may also help you get college credit. Also, ask about the transferability of the college credits you have earned in the past. As an unsolicited aside, you will find yourself in the company of others who, like you, are making career changes and taking charge of their lives to pursue a more fulfilling career option.
